The New York Supreme Court’s Appellate Division struck down the state’s enacted state Assembly redistricting plan as procedurally invalid but ordered it nevertheless be used for the 2022 elections, citing time constraints. The court remanded the case back to the trial court to determine the proper means for redrawing the map.
