The 2022 Cook Partisan Voting Index has been released. It covers the 50 states and all post-redistricting congressional districts. In a surprise move the formula used to calculate the PVI has been changed. The 2020 results are now 75% of the formula with the 2016 results making up only 25%. Prior to the change Cook gave the previous two presidential cycles equal weighting.
