CASE SUMMARY

Pursuant to the Colorado Constitution's redistricting procedures, Colorado's Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission is required to submit their final approved congressional plan to the Colorado Supreme Court for a mandatory review and approval process. The Commission filed their final plan and petition for review with the court on October 1, 2021, and interested parties filed briefs supporting or opposing the plan by October 8. On November 1, 2021, the Colorado Supreme Court released an opinion giving final approval to the Commission's plan, thereby allowing it to become law.
