CASE SUMMARY
Nine plaintiffs filed a petition for an original action on May 7, 2025, with the Wisconsin Supreme Court alleging Wisconsin's judicially imposed congressional map is gerrymandered in violation of the Wisconsin Constitution. The petition was denied on June 25, 2025.
Eleven plaintiffs (9 from Bothfeld I plus two new plaintiffs) filed a new petition on July 21, 2025, in the Dane County Circuit Court requesting that the Wisconsin Supreme Court appoint a three-judge panel of lower court judges to review whether the map imposed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court was a partisan gerrymander that violates the Wisconsin Constitution.
