CASE SUMMARY
After two petitions for original actions were rejected by the Wisconsin Supreme Court a group of plaintiffs, whose motion to intervene in one of those cases was denied as moot, filed a new action in the Dane County Circuit Court on July 8, 2025, requesting the Wisconsin Supreme Court appoint a three judge panel to evaluate whether Wisconsin's Congressional map [drawn by Governor Tony Evers (D) and imposed by justices from both sides of the ideological divide] is an impermissible incumbent-protection and anti-competitive gerrymander. The petition relies upon statutory provisions that have only been used one other time since its enactment (see 7/8/25 transmittal letter below).
