Congressional representation is reapportioned every decade following the completion of the decennial census. Each year the Census Bureau produces the Population and Housing Unit Estimates Program; the most recent estimate was released December 2022.
METHODOLOGY
Fair Lines America foundation took the July 1, 2022 estimates of the resident population of the United States from the Census Bureau and forecasted the count to 2030 based on a weighted average growth rate to produce a forecast for the 2030 apportionment.

This forecast assumes that states will continue on the same trajectory of population change since April 2020 when the Decennial Census was performed. Similar to patterns seen during the 2020 apportionment, states in the South and the Mountain West would be expected to continue to grow while California, Great Lakes states & Northeast states would be expected to continue to lose seats.
