CASE SUMMARY
On February 3, 2022 the Colorado Secretary of State filed a petition with the Colorado Supreme Court requesting adjustments be made to certain congressional district boundaries in accordance with the statutory review and revision procedures for new redistricting maps by county clerks. The Secretary requested a total of eleven changes, with ten addressing split residential parcels and one addressing a county split that could possibly lead to the identification of individual voters' ballots in elections. The Secretary explained the statutory basis for each requested change and sought the Colorado Supreme Court's approval to make those changes.
On March 18, the Colorado Supreme Court issued an order granting the Secretary's petition and approving the proposed changes to the congressional redistricting plan.
